OK so out of 100 views- I take it noone has any experiences with this company to share. Would anyone like to share your thoughts on this? Seems like an easy way to Prep to ME, and with some variety- instead of buying bags or rice and bullion cubes to flavor it sos I can gag it down. Though putting out $1K all at once would complicate my budget, I feel the time is getting short. HH Mark

Hey ME CO, wish I could help you out, but. I saw your post a couple days back but since I've not done business with them I left it alone. I will say there are more of these companies popping up on the websites. For those of us that have been doing this a while we've already got our patterns established. I have typically gotten my things from about 3 places and I am happy with them. It's a combination of good product, descent price on the shipping, and punctual.

That doesn't mean there is anything wrong with new places.

Good luck, and if you do get something from them and like them post it under the "sticky"

sb

Yea I think I'll pass on the bugs.
I went back to the site and out of curiosity looked at the sample pack- I found all the individual items and they added up to the sampler pack price. So instead of getting that may as well order individually what ya want.
I then went to all the trouble of adding up all the items in the Deluxe One year Reserve- not much savings over picking and choosing individual cans (less than $100) unless they gouge ya for having to compile a special order.
Anyways thats my update- think I will do some more searching. I may order a custom sampler though to taste it. HH Mark

That would probably be a good plan to get the sample pack and try it first. Rather than order a years supply and not like it.

Well I ordered the stuff to make the recipe on this page http://secure.mycart.net/catalogs/ca...showprevnext=1 , only thing they don't sell was the cream of mushroom soup, and I got my own margarine. Ships UPS ground so when it gets here I'll cook it up and taste it- full report when I do. HH Mark

Well, I bet you're going to be disappointed. I do have all the ingredients. And I'm not sure that I want to combine them that way. The beef TVP isn't bad right out of the can, as something you'd sprinkle on a salad, for instance. But it doesn't strike me as a substitute for casserole meat. I'm looking forward to your report. I say, go for it. Nearly anything's better than being hungry.:wavey:

Thanks for the tip. That is why I made a small order- to taste it. HH Mark

I have tried all that crap

freeze dried and the rest of them- way over priced

your best deal is just pick up canned veggies, and fruit canned tuna and other meats at you local store when they go on sale.

most of what you pick up at the store will last a couple of years past the date on the can so you should get 4-5 years if not longer shelf life.

and save money then buying off survival food web sites

What are the shipping charges? I couldn't find any info on that. The prices look pretty good.

They claim that the dehydrated food will last for up to a year in the opened can on your pantry shelf if you keep the plastic lid on it. You don't reconstitute the entire #10 can all at once -- just what you want to eat at any one time.
