Water
I figure water is pretty important for a survival plan, especially since I live in a desert(in las vegas). Though you wouldn't tell from how people waste water. We do have a pretty big lake but all the water for the entire town come froms there so if anything happened to it, I guess we would be in trouble.
I have a question though. Is it ok to just take old soda bottles, rinse them out, fill them with tap water then stick them in the closet some place? I guess I am like most people and just take water for granted, but now that I have thought about it, it seems silly to die because your to lazy to fill even a single bottle of water for an emergency. I mean, if you drink soda the bottles are free, water is nearly free and it takes about 6 seconds to fill a bottle. |
Re: Water
Welcome to GIM Al, you can get some 3 and 5 gallons plastic bottles at Wallys, and yes you can use plastic soda water but be sure to change the water every two to three months.
The water in my back packs I change them every two months and the 550 and 3,500 gallons in my yard I use it all the time so that there is alway fresh water in them. |
