I am watching it tonight.

This has been a great series on survival preparedness. Not so much in that it gives you steps to take but it definitely helps motivate people that have been on the fence about getting "squared away".

The premise of the series for those who don't already know is about a terrorist attack hitting 12+ US cities simultaneously with nuclear weapons followed by an EMP blast. I will not elaborate on the terrorist or that would ruin the build up of the show but I have to admit I really enjoyed the series thus far.

This is a series and is best watch from start to finish. At one point CBS had the episodes available to watch on their website and still may. You could also break down and purchase the DVD set.

To say the last episode shown last year was left at a pivotal point would be a huge understatement!

It has been an enjoyable show to watch and would recommend it to any.

Its kind of a post multiple nuclear blast soap opera, but I find it entertaining.

If you like the one tonight, go buy the box set on DVD. Its pretty cheap.

We had the Jericho debates here on this site before.........you might try searching for those threads.

IMO, for normal broadcast TV, they are a fun escapist Sci-Fi-ish kind of series........and, to be clear, we do enjoy it and I have bought the first seasons DVD.

Many here have attacked it for not being realistic.......

It was not designed to be a "how-to-survive" show - it was designed to entertain.....and, while there ae things I snicker at as probably unrealistic, (i.e. let's take time out from the devastation and horror of TEOTWAWKI for a Halloween party) for me it is as entertaining - if not more so than shows like Terminator.

And for more importantly - as Dave has said - "it definitely helps motivate people that have been on the fence about getting "squared away.""

I only watch a couple of hours of broadcast TV a week and its nice to see this back.

Exactly, you can't analyze this stuff for accuracy. As I mentioned it my first post, this is good to help articulate reasons for proper prep by giving a plausible scenario where people would have benefited by being squared away.

I tried to watch the show, but surprisingly it was painful to watch.
Poor acting is the main reason.
Reminds me of an 80's T.V. show....

QWAK,I watch it for intertainment BUT also because I believe that TPTB are planting the seed in the minds of J6P and friends that such things are posable and INOCULATING them with useless information and expectations.

It IS the mass media and they don't JUST minipulate the NEWS!:wink:

I always find it interesting at how I almost never hear GOLD or SILVER even mentioned not only on the news but also in all of the shows, it is extreamly RARE and when it is they relate to it as if it were from another PLANET or in the passed when people built pirimids and such!

I watch TV to see what the SHEEPLE see and are doing.

I miss my big FISH TANK with the PIRANAS ,they were more primitive to watch and quite DOCILE ---- till the got HUNGRY!:wink: If I for got to feed them they would start eating each other and one would be swiming around with big chunks missing!

It used to freek people out when I would stick my arm all the way in the tank to clean the glass and there were 6 or7, 8" Pirana in there!:D They are COWARDS till they get real HUNGRY, then all bets are OFF and its every FISH for IT SELF! EAT or be EATEN -- some times BOTH!

THAT is NATURE,that is REALITY and PEOPLE are a part of NATURE!

You bring up a good point about gold and silver.. In last night's episode, there was a part where one of the characters signed and agreement with the interim government. Part of the agreement stipulated a reestablishment of a currency but no mention of using gold or silver.

There was also an earlier episode where they even discouraged gold and silver in a barter town because of the radioactive fallout left these PM vulnerable to radioactive contamination. Kind of reminds me of a "James Bond" movie "Gold Finger" where they were going to contaminate the gold in Fort Knox with radiation. If I remember my science, gold exposed to high dose radiation can render mercury?

Any ways, you have some good points from the propaganda perspective..

QWAK,William Shatner did a program on how many things from "StarTreck" have or are becoming science FACT and it shure does seem THEY LEAD the HORSE to water so to speak.:wink:

There was also a program with a super FOX who escaped from a secret warier breeding program after what they called "The PULSE" an EMT burst that wiped out all the computers and crashed the GLOBAL economy. It is still on cable. :D

Yea it is intertainment but I am inclined to also believe it is SUBLIMINAL training.:thinkey:

The kids get druged in school and when they come home watch TV and get PROGRAMED and the parents too.

What ever is on the TUBE becomes REAL!

Guys -

You give the government WAY too much credit..........

These shows are written by writers looking to make shows that will gain interest, and make them money on a successful show..........same as many shows take stories from the news and tweak them to make "contemporary timely" subjects.

The government is not paying for expensive propaganda........and if they were..........the show would be a lot more true to life.

It is - plain and simple - entertainment.........written, like most Sci-Fi, on something that MIGHT happen in the future.

Hate to rain on anyone's parade but not EVERYTHING is a conspiracy!

But, if you are bored, you might question why there are more brown M&Ms than any other color! **ssshhhhhh**

QWAK,I do not see it nessaraly as a part of their GRAND PLAN but rather as subtal background that falls in place almost naturly as we are moved like a hurd in the direction they want the hurd to move.

It is both distraction from the important issues we SHOULD be focused on AND a subtile NUGE in the direction they want people to go or think about.

Just as in the NEWS the questions and things that are AVOIDED are as importand if not more so than the things they DO focus on and ask questions about.:thinkey:

It is important that the people believe they are THINKING when mostly they only REFLECT what they are exposed to and feed in small quantities over time untill it becomes the NEW NORM.

Stand in a crowd and LOOK UP,keep looking up and soon others will look up too,they have no idea what they are looking for but with a little sugesting and imagination it spreads like a contagin.

It's just the way people are and other people have learned how to EXPLOIT and gain advantage by using it.

Only a fiew people in key positions make the programing choices for millions and their goals are not the same as J6P, obviously.:wink:
