"bins"

You know what bins are right?

I haven't been using bins much lately,
but they're something I know a lil bit about.

Seems like an appropriate survival topic.

Guess GIMmers doone know what "bins" are.
Hardcore survivalists should be very interested.

Give ya a hint.
I bought my last pair at an Audubon store.
And I bought Honey's last pair at "Scope City"
(or something like that)

Definately a useful device though in my immediate area there isn't a long enough LOS to make them too useful. Definately must have equipment for crossing open country or taking it to the badguys.

Binoculars?

I have several pairs, mostly Bushnell, in various sizes from pocket to regular, plus my spotting scope for shooting. The pair I keep most handy (for spotting birds in the treetops) is a 10x50. I don't have anything fancy because I can't afford to pay the big bucks for the exceptional optics.

If you're talking scopes, Leupold 3.5-10x50 is the best I've got. It's pretty woodsy in these parts. I can't see myself needing more than that.

Oh great, now I'm suttering ....

REV 127, yup.

If yer a deer hunter, out west here, good bins
are a must have. In plains states, I imagine,
even more so...........

Don't be too impressed! I decided it was more trouble than it was worth since the range where I now shoot only has a 100 and a 200 range. That particular scope is back in it's box, sitting on a shelf in my closet. I could hold it (to the great annoyance of a particular former shooting buddy of mine! Lol!), but I guess I just don't like having to work that hard. A sniper, I'm not! Most of my scopes are back in their boxes these days. The past few years I've been shooting mostly military surplus and M1A, so I haven't felt the need to scope them. The only rifles I have that are currently scoped are an old 30-30 and a Savage .308.

The way my eyes are starting to go (geezer vision), I may have to revisit the scoping issue one of these days, though!
