Gold and silver spot goes up and everything I bought is now on sale :cryin2: I'm not in the mood to cost average so I won't be buying extras. There's always other coins to buy but old phrase "You snooze, you lose" didn't hold true for me this time.

I noticed the supersale and couldn't resist picking up some tigers. I figure spot is low right now, they're just a few bucks over spot for a coin that's very likely to take on a premium. You're not alone in crying though, which is what I'll be doing when the wife comes home and I have to explain my purchase to her. The way I see it the money is actually coming from my trading account and each tiger is just a share I expect to appreciate by $4 minimum by the end of the year. :tongue_ma:

I had really high hopes for the gold tiger but it kind of dispointed me. I thinkt he silver tiger came out quite nice and will rival the dragon.

OK - here is how I see this..........

Sure, AMPEX and Lonestar are reducing their prices to get rid of the last of their inventory to make room for more stock.............

Sure, we could have waited and bought for a couple of dollars less.........

Sure, we can kick ourselves over that and cry in our milk.........

Sure.....sure......sure...........

HOWEVER, we also could have missed the boat and waited, and not gotten the coins we need to finish off our sets.

WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN THE GREATER LOSS???

As Rev said - in a few weeks they will release final mintage numbers........by years end we might very well see those who STILL do not know the series ended early, looking to complete their sets and willing to pay $4 or more to do so.

Frankly, I completed my sets and bought extras of the last 3 coins, in both 1 and 2 ounce sizes for exactly that.

AND IF THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN - IF THERE IS NOT THE PREMIUM WE HOPE?????

In a few months, or a year, I suspect what we paid for these coins will be what people are paying for SAEs.

its really a beautiful series. I have a hard time crying over possession of a fantastically beautiful and complete series because I had to pay a couple bucks more. I bought three milkshakes at steaknshake last night for me and the kids and that was five bucks too. a rare treat that was soon gone; the coins will be available for enjoyment a long time.
